Singing - Voice - Piano - Guitar
Sharon Angle Studios
Hi my name is Sharon Angle! I extend my warmest welcome to students of all ages and levels of experience who
would like to become better musicians, singers, actors, speakers, beginning to intermediate pianists, and beginning
guitarists! I am very passionate about what I do and share great personal joy participating in the growth of every
student. Goal setting is foundational and students enjoy setting their own goals for what they would like to accomplish
with their lessons.
Individual Private Lessons
Each of my students comes to me at different levels of knowledge and experience -- some simply want to start a new hobby and some are professionals in their field. They come from all walks of life and consist of busy individuals who would like to start or become better singers, musicians, actors, speakers, pianists, and guitarists. I take a step-by-step approach to help each student achieve the next level of expertise. Click here for a Sharon Angle Studios brochure that you can print out.
Building Confidence
Each week I teach my students music theory, sight-reading, technique, and practice routines to build their confidence and performance. I also teach style and interpretation of the piece according to genre. My students develop increased; self-confidence, overall musicianship, muscle strength, and body awareness through the technical work they master, not only in their performances on stage, but as it applies in their personal lives as well.
Musical and Vocal Precision
Learning how to sing or play a phrase musically, with emotion, expression, enthusiasm, and energy is the heart of our musical studies. For singers, the goal is to sing powerfully and freely without straining the voice. I work with many levels of students; from singers who would like to enjoy the thrill of singing technically challenging pieces to speakers and actors who wish to communicate their words more powerfully and clearly. Budding pianists and guitarists study the same format except for using a piano or a guitar. Otherwise, I expect the same general study of music itself with technique, phrasing, form & style analysis, composition, sight-reading skills, harmonic structure as well as melodic line. We don't just learn to sing or play an instrument. We learn how to create music so we can express ourselves. It is a joy and a privilege for me to teach music.
